If you run into an issue where it is difficult to add a game to the Beam companion app because you are unable to scan the QR code for a specific game, or you get an error when scanning the QRD code, try any of the following troubleshooting methods:
1. Confirm that you have permitted the Beam companion app to use your camera. This can be done by simply navigating to your Settings app on your phone and locating the apps section. Scroll to find the Beam companion app and select it. Click on permission, and you should be able to review the active permission granted to the companion app.
2. Sometimes, it could be a result of an installation glitch. Try backing up your profile, then uninstall the companion app and reinstall. An alternative would be to refresh the app by clearing the cache from settings.
