The BEAM token is available on multiple networks: Avalanche, Beam Network, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and the Ethereum chain. It can be stored in any ERC-20 compatible wallet, including cold storage wallets such as Ledger or Trezor. You can use the same EVM address from your cold wallet to store $BEAM across these networks.
Note: Most centralized exchanges support BEAM token transactions over the Ethereum network. A few also support transactions over Binance Smart Chain.
Option 1: From a centralized exchange to a Ledger wallet
- Copy your Ledger address:
- Get the public (ERC-20) wallet address from your cold storage device. This is also your Ethereum address, compatible with any EVM network.
- Enter the address in the exchange:
- On the exchange's withdrawal page, enter this address in the “withdrawal” or “send to” field.
- Select a network and confirm:
- Choose your preferred network for the transfer if options are available. The withdrawal fee will be deducted from your $BEAM balance.
Option 2: From a self-custody hot wallet to a cold wallet
If your $BEAM is on another self-custody wallet such as Metamask, Rabby, or Trust wallet, you can simply send your token to a cold by following these steps:
- Copy your cold wallet address:
- Get the public (ERC-20) wallet address from your cold wallet. This is also your Ethereum address, compatible with any EVM network.
- Enter the address in the exchange:
- In your hot wallet (like Metamask, Rabby, or Trust Wallet), enter this address in the “withdrawal” or “send to” field.
- Proceed with Withdrawal:
- Hit send and confirm the transaction. Be aware of the network fee required in the native currency:
- Avalanche c-chain: requires AVAX for the gas fee
- Beam chain: requires BEAM for the gas fee.
- Binance smart chain: requires BNB on the BSC network for the gas fee
- Ethereum chain: requires ETH for the gas fee.
- Hit send and confirm the transaction. Be aware of the network fee required in the native currency:
